The award winning artistes are definitely riding on the success of their Odo song, a highlife song which earned them the Artiste of the Year at the VGMA 2013 and it is not surprising they are following  the trend since Concert Party is the second highlife song they have released this year.

Concert Party explores the lifestyle of many married men who though under the covenant of marriage, engage in extra marital affairs. It also makes mockery of young ladies who engage in multiple sexual relations and don’t know the father of their children when they get pregnant.

Concert Party, produced by Kill Beatz, draws one’s attention to old highlife tunes in the 80s and Mugeez was on point with his delivery which is a plus for the group.

While Mugeez addresses family men to stop “blowing” their money on ladies, he cautions the latter to be wary of lifestyles that will plunge them in trouble.

Paedae on the other hand raps about partying with his friends and having a good time which is a diversion from the theme of the song.

In an interview with Showbiz, Mugeez said aside the song educating married men to be responsible and young ladies to be focused in life, they want to sell highlife to the international world and make it attractive.

“It is not every day that you do a funky song. Sometimes, you need to depart from what you are known for and take on the role of an elder and educate people on important issues about life. That is what we hope to achieve with Concert party,” Mugeez said.

Apart from Makoma and Gboza, the duo is also popular for songs such as Lobi, Odo, Walaayi, Slow down, Killing Me Softly and Kiss Your Hand.
