A new television series, The Twist, which deals with sanitation and health issues is currently showing on TV3.
It was born out of the fact that lack of basic sanitation puts millions of lives at risk and is responsible for a quartre of all child deaths in every developing country every year.
Producer and director of the series, veteran actor Dan Tei Mensah told Showbiz that The Twist was hatched to compliment the efforts by government to help educate the general public through drama.
Dan Tei Mensah brings the creativity of both crew and cast to bear in The Twist. It is a drama series that will put viewers at the edge of their seats.
The TV series, a collaboration of TV3 Network and Dees Ad Media aims at informing, educating and entertaining the general public on the need to fight poor hygiene, sanitation and health related issues through drama.
The 30- minutes programme is shot from different locations depending on the subject. It shows at 8pm every Thursday on TV3 and is becoming the talk of town as one of the good edutainment drama series on television.
“The concept for The Twist came after the June 3 disaster. Never again should we allow ourselves to suffer out of our own negligence. I consider the development of the series as a social responsiblity and a call to duty as an actor and producer to help educate people on sanitation and other health related issues. I urge all of us to support and put our shoulders to the wheel to help move the nation forward, “he told Showbiz in an interview.
Some of the cast in The Twist are Elijah Atta Barimah, Seth Elolo, Evelyn Odumanye, Nana Akua B, Celestine Asimatey among others.
