Snoop Dogg: 20 Grammy nominations, zero awards

Ghana’s Rocky Dawuni may have had significant heartbreak as a result of his three Grammy failures in 2015, 2021, and 2023, but it appears American rapper, Snoop Dogg, real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., is experiencing worse situation as he left the Crypto.com Arena empty-handed again.

For the twentieth time, Snoop Dogg, one of the most well-known and successful Hip Hop artistes of all time, was nominated for a Grammy at this year's ceremony and his hopes were dashed as he met another night of disappointment.

Well, many of his followers, Hiphop enthusiasts and The drop it like It's Hot hitmaker have been venting their frustrations on social media about the last Sunday’s event.

Venting his resentment, Snoop Dogg logged onto the photo-sharing application, Instagram to let  his over 79 million fans that he had been utterly excluded from the Grammy Awards.

On Monday February 6, 2023, Snoop shared a screenshot of a list of rappers with the most Grammy wins in history with Jay-Z and Kanye “Ye” West leading the pack with 24 victories, respectively with the caption: “Snoop Dogg. 20 nominations. 0 wins. ߑ갟ᄚߑﰟ↓”

After expressing his frustrations, several of his industry peers and other verified celebrity accounts including Jamie Foxx, Mr. Caponee, and Dee Spikes flooded in to show their solidarity

Despite the fact that Snoop never received a golden gramophone from the Recording Academy, the 51-year old rapper has won hosts of awards including BET Awards for Best Collaboration, American Music Awards for favourite Male Artiste, YouTube Music Award among others.
