Singer iOna drops Intentional Love
WHEN singer iOna Reine announced her switch to Gospel music last year, many perceived it to be yet another publicity stunt by an artiste to get attention.
She however changed that mass view when she came up with her own versions of songs—Chants, Gwanhwefo, I Give Myself Away and More Than a Song early last month.
And now, iOna appears fully set for the gospel path with the release of Intentional Love, her first composition.
Intentional Love which dropped on Friday, February 17 and is available on all music platforms seeks to draw attention to God’s unconditional love.
iOna shares a story of how she has been a beneficiary of the absolute love of God which saved her from the path of destruction she had taken.
“God has been so good to me and my recent encounters have even drawn me closer to Him. My new single, Intentional Love will speak to every believer and strengthen their faith in the Lord. I’m using this song to tell people that God’s love for us is genuine and intentional,” the singer shared.
iOna who bears a striking resemblance to the late Dancehall artiste, Ebony Reigns shot to fame about three years ago. She is credited with songs such as Could This Be Love, Obra, Soy La Reine and an EP, told
In a recent interview with Graphic Showbiz, she disclosed that she is very committed to creating songs that edify the soul and drew listeners closer to God.
“I made a serious effort to respond to God's call and to reach out to those who have strayed from Him. Previously, my focus on worldly music did not represent what God wanted from me.
“However, I am now prepared to go full force into Gospel music. I've decided to do music that uplifts people's spirits so that I can be a useful instrument for my Lord”, she said.
