POLICEMAN cum musician Sammy Lazio last Friday released his latest single titled Tomorrow which seeks to tell the youth that all is not lost and that things will surely get better.
Sammy Lazio released the song after the two-day demonstration last week which had mainly the youth in attendance.
“I wrote the song for the youth of this country who are trying so hard to make ends meet and want to give up but all is not lost, they should keep striving because there is hope.
“They should not relent in their effort, I wrote this song as a beckon of hope for the youth of this country. In these hard times, anybody who listens to Tomorrow will find inspiration because they may be going through some really tough times.
“It will propel them not to give up but still do what is right, that is fight hard till they make it in life through hard work and sacrifice.
"I want them to know that no matter the situation now, tomorrow will be a different story that is why the chorus goes like, Today e dey like this, tomorrow e no go dey like this.
According to Sammy Lazio, born Samuel Nartey, he wants the youth to know that there will be smiles at the end of the day.
He was, however, quick to add that he is inspired to write his songs from happenings around him and he does not blame hardships in the country on any political party.
“What I have realised is that often times, people want to give up but what we should know is that even in the Bible, it is said that the hand that does not work does not eat so we must all strive to work hard and know that at the end of the day, we will smile.
Sammy Lazio, a Corporal in the Ghana Police Service added that there is a remix of Tomorrow featuring rapper, Yaa Pono to be released in a couple of months.
“Yaa Pono came by the studio when I was recording and he said to me that the song is very inspirational and he would like to feature on it so we arranged and did the remix,” he added.
Tomorrow, produced by ItzCJbeatz is available on digital platforms such as Spotify, iTunes, amazon, AWA, Tidal, Deezer and Shazam.
