Talking to Showbiz last Friday, Raquel  expressed her appreciation to all her admirers and critics alike who have so far helped to shape her musical career.

“It has not been an easy journey getting here. It has been a path of thorns and hindrances but I thank God for helping me sail through and I believe  my album release will take me to the next level.”

Born Raquel Ammah, the talented singer made inroads on the music scene in 2009 with the release of her first official track Odo. She later followed  up with a reggae version of the song featuring Iwan.

Prior to that, Raquel as an underground artiste had released several songs one of which, This Is Me,  was used in Shirley Frimpong Manso’s  A Sting In a Tale film.

She got entrenched on the music scene after the release of the hit track Sweetio which featured Sarkodie. That song earned her five nominations at the 2012 Vodadone Ghana Music Awards.

Her latest single, Let You Go  featuring D’Black, is doing reasonably well and has been tipped by many to be another  hit for her.

“For now, everything is set and my fans will have the real taste of Raquel and who I am at 25 after the release of my debut album,” Raquel said.
