Odu Zee set to release first EP

After doing music for a decade and learning all the intricacies of leaving indelible marks on the minds of many Ghanaians and beyond so far as entertainment is concerned, Odu Zee is set to release his first official EP.

The EP which will be released before end of year is titled Free. It has eight songs and features Ghanaian top artistes like, Ruff N Smooth, Undergee Melody of R2bees fame, Castro, Keche, Macho Rapper and Dr Cryme.

From the international front, it features the likes of Tumani from Guinea and Gaza from South Africa. Some of the songs on Free which means For - Rhythmic - Epitome – Ears are Matter, No Le Le Baba Will Do It, To God Be The Glory, Bone Dem and Come n Party.

“This album is one that I love and the reason is , it holds everything that I have worked on since I started music. I believe and I’m convinced that it will make an impact and people will love it,” he said talking to Showbiz.

Giving a hint about what some of the songs are about, the Afro Beat act said, “it has a blend of love, excitement, encouragement and gratitude.

The No Le Le Baba Will Do It is a song that encourages people not to let what they go through bring them down but have faith and be convinced that the God we serve will pull them through.

“To God Be The Glory is about showing appreciation to God for his doings and Bone Dem is telling people to be focused and not to allow anything or what people say stop them from being great. Come n Party is one that tells people to unwind and have fun,” he explained.

Asked why he featured Ghanaian artistes on his album he said, “I love Ghana and the musicians I have on my album are people who have done well for themselves and their works are appealing to me. I want to say a big thank you to them for a job well, done.”

Odu Zee who said his favorite song on the album is No Le Le Baba God Will Do It is optimistic that the release of his first album will make him a force to reckon with.

“I know the works I have put in this and I am beyond any doubt convinced that industry players will be shocked and many Ghanaians will love it. Also others who are in the music industry already will shake,” he said.

Odu Zee real name Daniel Odu Orji is a Nigerian Ghanaian born who is based in Tema.
