Khemikal, others for 'Laughline Comedy' on June 4
After the rave reviews this year’s edition of Laughline Comedy which came off on March 6, received, it is only fair that organisers Kasa Entertainment treat patrons to another good show.
So come June 4, the Silver Bird Cinemas (Accra Mall) will play host to another edition of Laughline Comedy which promises to feature some of Ghana’s finest comedians such as Khemikal, MJ The Comedian, Oh Joe and Sportoo.
The first edition this year featured comedians such as OB Amponsah, Comedian Waris, Shegelabobor, Comedian TKay and Nii oo Nii.
Laughline Comedy show, which took a year’s break due to COVID—19 has seen immense growth in the past few years, serving as a platform for Ghanaian standup comedians to showcase their talents.
Comedians Khemikal and MJ The Comedian have found a place in Ghana’s comedy sector, with their crafts garnering huge following on social media.
Khemikal has been off the comedy scene for some time due to personal reasons. He said a good motivation from his wife to get back to the craft saved him from “early retirement”.
He mentioned that even though he has been performing at his own show, “Open Mic with Khemikal” and also on “ecomedy show” last month, he is hoping to have one of his best performances on upcoming Laughline Comedy show in June.
“Laughline Comedy has been holding comedians down for over five years and it’s always a big deal for any comedian who features on it. The show held earlier this year was lit and comedians on for this trip have to equally live up to the billing.
“I’m very confident we will live up to the task and I personally entreat patrons to prepare themselves to experience one of the best shows,” he said.
The show which is a collaboration between Kasa Entertainment and Silver Bird Cinemas will be laced with poetry recital by Rhyme Sony and a music performance by Malcom Nuna.
