When highlife artiste Kwaisey Pee took the mic, he started by crooning some of his old songs and had the house dancing and singing along.
Then he moved into his new ones including the popular Osugyani and the revelers couldn’t have much.
They sung with him, danced with him and practically showed they loved his performance. Indeed his was one of the best performances at the maiden Botweburg Pre-Valentine Masked Party held at M-Ville at Adenta Housing Down.
Also to have entertained the party goers with his performance on the night was Nana Boroo. His performance of Aha Ye De got the crowd on its feet dancing and singing along. Indeed, his was the highlight of the night.
The Botweburg Pre-Valentine Masked Party had promised a night of music in an electrifying party mood and it did live up to the promise.
DJ Mensah, DJ Andy Dosty, DJ Armani, DJ Loft and others were on rotation with some of the big tunes of the past and present while Lexis Bill, Giovani and Merqury Quaye served as hosts and hype men for the show throughout the night.
ETV’s Kwame Gyan who was a member of the organising team said they were very happy for the turn out and active participation.
“It was the first event we were putting together and so we were a bit concerned about the likely turn up and so we were impressed that many people believed in our message and showed up and also danced and had enormous fun,” he said.
The party attracted people from all over Accra. Most of the people at the party were very happy with the music, the free grills and drinks and the general atmosphere.
Some even promised to look out for similar Botweburg organised parties to attend. According to Gyan, this was the first of many such events to be organized by Botweburg.
The event was sponsored by Distell Ghana who supported with some of the brands they market, including Hunter’s, Savanna, Amarula, and Knights Whisky.
