The song, which was recorded and produced by Brainy Beats, highlights the role and importance of women in the society.

Kobby, who used to be the half pair of the Wutah duo has been doing highlife since he went solo but has returned to what he is mostly known for, reggae with  Me Ji No Di.

Rendered in Twi and in a mid tempo vein, he proves his worth as a maturing solo artiste with his vocal delivery, one that is definitely an improvement on his previous songs.

The intro of the song starts with the strums of a guitar and Kobby comes in to sing about how it is important to appreciate hardworking women. He talks about how the contribution of women cannot be ignored.

For him, there are different kinds of women in this world but the ones who bring “glory to their husbands” are worth celebrating and that is what he preaches on Me Ji No Di.

“Women can make and unmake the world because that is their divine gift. This song is to appreciate the women who speak life into men and are their source of inspiration as well. To the faithful, hardworking, trust worthy and independent women, this is their ‘thank you’ song,” he told Showbiz last Monday.

Speaking on how he is faring as a solo artiste, Kobby said that it has given him the opportunity to build his talent and discover his “mission” in the music world.

He used the opportunity to refute claims that he is envious of his former Wutah member, Afriyie, remarking, “I am not in competition with him”.

Real name, Daniel Morris, Kobby believes his music has matured over the years and said that Me Ji No Di is evidence of his progress. “I am growing really fast as a solo artiste”.

He noted that, he will be releasing the videos of his songs, Sweet and Sour, Kappa and Piiporpii soon.

Kobby has two solo albums to his credit, Selfless Bliss and God and Love. Some of his known songs are Tsotsoo, Ambulance ft. Sarkodie and Ohenemaa ft. Castro.

The others are Chio Chio, Father For All, Endless Love, Piiporpii and Minshɛɛ Daa.
