From Live FM, my love child as Head of events & host of 360 Live (I truly enjoyed my days at Live with the youngsters) & later moving to Starr to host the Zone & Starr Dive, it’s been a fabulous learning curve".

Germain posted: "I am happy to announce that after 5 years and 9 months of being with STARR FM & the EIB family, we have decided to mutually part ways. I'd like to thank everyone who worked with me from the Drop off to The Zone..And everyone who tuned in to my shows. All the best".

EIB departures

Their exits continue the trend of high-profile radio personalities who have left the firm in droves over the past three years.

The list includes Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku who jumped ship to Joy Fm in 2017, AJ Sarpong who left in 2017 for Omni Media operators of Citi FM, Robert Nii Arday Clegg Snr who left to pursue a private career and Sammy Forson who ditched the EIB's Live FM in 2018 for Joy FM.

The unending list of departures also has Anita Erskine who left EIB in 2018, Kafui Dey who quit in 2018, Baisiwa Dowuona-Hammond who quit in 2018 and is now with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mz Naa, Giovani Caleb and Berla Mundi who are now with Media General.

Touching on the increasing exits in August 2019, the CEO of EIB Network Group, Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi popularly known as Bola Ray revealed that staff were quitting the media conglomerate in droves because their salaries were in arrears.

He disclosed that for seven months in the year 2018, he had not paid salaries of his staff which resulted in many staff tendering-in their resignation letters.

According to him, the media conglomerate which includes media houses such as Starr FM, Live FM, Kasapa FM and GHOne was started with 483 staff but was now left with about 300 staff members.

He said he did not blame the staff for quitting because they had to cater for their families.
