Actor Akrobeto reveals he offered comedian Funny Face advice a number of times but he didn't listen

I advised Funny Face but he never listened – Akrobeto

Seasoned actor Akwasi Boadi popularly known as Akrobeto says he is deeply hurt by what his friend, comedian Funny Face, is going through.

The last year has been a difficult one for Funny Face as he battled depression. That has manifested in his outbursts on social media where he has railed against his colleagues and his baby mama, Vanessa and her family.

Last week, the Ofaakor Circuit Court in the Central Region ordered that Funny face undergo a psychiatric assessment after he fired shots at a drinking spot in Kasoa.

Speaking on Peace FM's Entertainment Review over the weekend, Akrobeto said he went to Funny Face's house to talk to him but he didn't listen.

“I hardly go to anyone’s house, even if you invite me, I will not come but I drove to Funny Face’s house more than two times to talk to him but he didn’t listen.

"We spoke for a very long and he made me feel everything was okay so I was surprised to see him back on social media embarrassing himself,” he told host Kwasi Aboagye.

The host of Real News on UTV said Funny Face needs prayers and someone to be by him, talking to him all the time. “Everything will go well with Funny Face but my little advice is that he stays off social media for now. Sometimes social media makes you do certain things that you are not ready for.

"I, for instance, will never go on social media for anything. With the Real News that I host, it is my producers who write the scripts for me and get the videos to go with whatever story I read on air but I will never go on social media,” he said.

Akrobeto also spoke on a story that made the rounds last week that he had avoided acting alongside another popular actor Kofi Adu aka Agya Koo.

According to him, he stopped acting with Agya Koo based on a decision by Miracle Films not to pair them both so he (Akrobeto) could build his career.

“Agya Koo is one talented actor everyone wanted to see in a movie before they bought them. In those days, if he was not featured in a movie no one would buy it. That is how powerful he was so I needed to build myself by avoiding him,” he said.
