High expectations for Wizkid Live in Concert
As one of the successful music icons in his time, it goes without saying renowned Nigerian Afrobeats artiste, Wizkid doesn’t need to sweat it when it comes to drawing huge patronage to his concerts.
Last year, the Grammy award-winning artiste made history as the first African artiste to fill the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena in London three days in a row with his Made In Lagos concert.

Little wonder there is an over-the-roof excitement about Wizkid’s upcoming headline concert dubbed, “Wizkid Live in Concert” scheduled for the over 40,000-capacity Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, December 10.
Over the years, the Nigerian superstar who was cited as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Africans by New African magazine in 2019 has become one of the prominent figures on the Afrobeats music scene with his songs such as Ayo, Bad To Me, Come Closer, Energy, Money and Love and No Stress winning the confidence of music devotees all over the world.

The Ojuelegba hitmaker’s great vibes along with his huge presence on stage and popular songs will make a balanced diet of music meal to serve patrons at Saturday’s show.
Wizkid born Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun will be supported by a number of Ghanaian artistes on the night which promises to be a memorable experience.
Artistes including R2Bees, King Promise, Eugy, Efya, DarkoVibes, KelvynBoy and Gyakie, as well as a couple of surprise guests acts are expected to live up to the billing.
Wizkid Live in Concert is an initiative of Live Hub Entertainment which is from the stables of Finali Group Entertainment, a lifestyle hospitality company headed by Mawuli Gbedema as Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Gbedema mentioned that Finali, which seeks to establish and develop some of the highest-standard luxury boutique hotels and fine dining establishments in Accra is supporting the concert as chief investor since it falls within the vision of the group’s larger commitment of raising the standards of entertainment event production in Ghana.
He also noted that his outfit was focused on promoting African artistes and talents to the world; bridging the gap in the creative economy and refining the experiences of their audiences through first class shows.
Hence, the upcoming Wizkid Live in concert is a start of a series of high quality live events to be hosted by the company.
“This is only the beginning of an epic series of high-quality live events across Africa powered by Live Hub Entertainment with support from Finali group. We want to be inclusive of all areas of Ghanaian society and have a youth-focused social impact element to all our programmes”, he told Graphic Showbiz.
