In an interview with the Daily Graphic on Monday, Mr Asante Boateng, who is also the producer of the show said the characters for the series were selected to depict the various story lines.

According to him, Guy Guy is a popular slang for braggarts and said it was interesting to observe how the various characters depicted the trait and showed off their “levels” in the plot.

Talking of some of the challenges he encountered in the production of the series which talk about love and some of the antics men use to woo women, Boateng said it was difficult to get celebrities to feature on the show.

He, however, expressed delight in the outcome and said Guy Guy, sponsored by Kasapreko, Airtel, Vicco and Zwan, was the “right TV programme for the family on weekends”.
