GH music not just about Accra — Abbi Imma

KINTAMPO-based artiste Abbi Imma is encouraging music audience to extend their support to artistes from other regions.

This is because many talented artistes in other regions have been left to their fate and continue to enjoy very little attention since Accra has “hijacked” the industry.

“If you don’t move to Accra to promote your music or make yourself popular,  no one knows about you and your music and that is not how we should run our music industry.

“ I’m huge in Kintampo while Fancy Gadam and Macassio are also huge in the North but how many people know about our songs outside our region. Industry players, event organisers should include us too in their dealings”, she told Graphic Showbiz.

Abbi Imma, whose real name is Abigail Ayizam explained that it is always difficult for artistes from other regions to penetrate despite how huge they are simply because they are not based in Accra and that is stressful for such acts who are working so hard.
