VIDEO: Even Jesus can't save Ghana if citizens are dishonest - Diana Asamoah
Prominent gospel musician, Diana Asamoah, has urged Ghanaians to foster a culture of honesty and integrity in their daily lives for true progress, emphasising that even a leader of extraordinaire character, akin to Jesus Christ, would not suffice if the people do not uphold ethical values.
While acknowledging the influence of political governance on the daily lives of citizens, Asamoah cautioned that attributing all responsibility for progress solely to leadership is misguided without an accompanying positive shift in attitudes at all levels of society.
Speaking on the UTV television programme, United Showbiz on September 30, 2023, Asamoah emphasized, "The whole world is in a crisis, and a significant portion of the hardships is also a consequence of our actions. I have always asserted that even if Jesus were to become president and we do not alter our attitudes, we will not thrive."
She further highlighted a biblical perspective, underscoring the blessings associated with truthfulness and the adverse outcomes for those who act hastily.
Asamoah, a known member of the New Patriotic Party, cited instances of theft and dishonesty, juxtaposing them with individuals who possess virtuous qualities and vocational skills, attaining success.
