Celebrities grace Christian Atsu’s one week observation

It was a visibly emotional atmosphere at the Adjiringanor Astro Turf in Accra earlier today, March 4, when the one week observation of the late Christian Atsu Twasam was held.

As expected, a number of high profile personalities of entertainment figures, sports icons including active and retired footballers and government officials graced the occasion.

Among the number of entertainment personalities spotted by Graphic Showbiz at the ceremony were the CEO of EIB Network, Nathaniel Adisi Anokye popularly known as Bola Ray, Christabel Ekeh, Kwesi Arthur, Lydia Forson, Grace Ashley and Nigeria’s Patoranking among others.

Also, former Black Stars players including Sulley Muntari, Asamoah Gyan, Kwadwo Asamoah were present to support the family in this devastating moments.

The event grounds was flooded with a sea of red and black colours signifying the state of hundreds of mourners who thronged the venue to commiserate with the family.

The Twasam family, of which the deceased belonged announced Friday, March 17 as the burial date for the late Hatayspor player. It will take place at the forecourt of the State House.

Even after two weeks of his death, a number of Ghanaians keep pouring in their tributes for the former Chelsea and New Castle player.

In a Facebook post earlier today, Bola Ray said, “Your legacy lives on, thanks legend”.

Ghanaian Gospel musician Grace Ashley has also paid tribute with a new song titled, Nante Yie.

The song titled ‘Nante Yie’ which also mentions the late Junior Agogo, was produced by Grace’s new label called Seal Records.

Prior to its release, it was officially presented to the family of Christian Atsu.

Christian Atsu, 31, met his untimely death in Turkey, when he was caught up in the 7.7 magnitude earthquake which occurred on Monday, February 6, 2023.

Atsu was residing in an apartment in the Hatay city which suffered huge damages during the quake.
