7 Finalists standing in Vodafone Icons
Last Thursday was special for fans of the Vodafone Icons competition as they were given the opportunity to interact and take photographs with the contestants after the show.

For some of the fans, it was as if shaking hands, speaking and taking photos with their favourite contestants was what they had been waiting for. They mobbed, chatted and exchanged phone numbers with the remaining seven contestants in the game.
The seven standing are Kevin, Mariam, Sarah, Buda, Zakia, Ryan and Seed. The first three evictions have been made.
It were Harry and Joyce who were first to leave the contest two Thursdays ago. Then last Thursday, it was the turn of Rosel to say goodbye to the show and to the grand prize package of GH¢250,000.
Last Thursday’s edition was particularly challenging to the contestants as they took turns to perform gospel songs as diverse as Hallelujah by Alexandra Burke, and God Dey Bless Me by Cwesi Oteng.
The loudest cheers on the night, perhaps, was what greeted Buda when he stepped up to sing gospel. “Buda singing gospel?”, must have been the question on the lips of the audience. But surprisingly, the rapper pulled it off admirably.
Meanwhile, the remaining Icons finalists keep raising the bar with amazing performances each week to live audiences at the National Theatre, to judges Miss Naa, Appietus and Gena West and an even larger viewership on television.
The show is on Metro TV Sundays 6pm; GH One 7pm; and Wednesdays on Cine Afrik 8 pm; and GTV 9pm.
