Stephanie sings So Me Mu

She is not new to the Ghanaian music industry, but singing an all Twi song is definitely a new exploit for Ghanaian international performer, Stephanie Benson.

Her latest single, So Me Mu, recorded with multi-instrumentalist, Kwame Yeboah, sees her sing all out in her mother tongue.

“I know a lot of people from afar think I can’t speak Twi because I am in London most of the time,  but I speak, sing and even write Twi. In my other singles, I did a couple of Twi lines and raps but this time it’s a full Twi song” she told Showbiz last week.

Stephanie said she has realised there are a lot of fans who really love her songs but because of the language barrier, they are not able to really understand the lyrics of the songs.

“I always say a performer like me also needs to have songs ringing in people’s ears so they can have me constantly in mind. It is the fans who make us what we are and we must reciprocate the love with good songs for them”.

She also hinted that she is currently on set with ace video director, Abraham Ohene Djan, shooting a video for the single which is already recieving airplay.
