The artiste, who is already out with two albums aimed at reaching out to the downhearted, will release a new song, My Praise on Wednesday, August 3.

My Praise which will be released on the various music outlets online including YouTube and Sound Cloud is just to bless the name of the lord and to tell the world of His greatness and goodness.

“I have been amazed by God’s goodness and I think I need to broadcast it to the world through a song,” the old student of Koforidua Secondary School said in an interview with Showbiz on Monday.

A fast tempo song, My Praise is rendered in English talks about how God deserves praise and should be lifted high.

‘You deserve my praise and I will lift you high, you deserve my praise, oh Most High oh high,’ he sings in the chorus.

“Gospel music in Ghana is becoming bigger and better because there are many programmes promoting the genre. However, there must be no competition among the artistes to be heard because if it’s your time, you will definitely be heard,” he said.

SirJones, the administrator of Family Chapel International in Kumasi, is currently working on his third album, Fellowship which has My Praise as one of the songs featuring on it.

His first two albums, Aseda Soronko (2010) and Rhema (2013) had songs such as Nyame Aseda, Nyame wo Odo, Nyame Obolo, Afripraise and Draw Me Nearer.

The banking graduate from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has also shared the stage with gospel artistes such as Sonnie Badu, Nii Okai, OJ, Oware Junior, Rev Kwame Amponsah among others.
