New hiphop artiste, A. J Nelson had always dreamt of getting the appropriate platform to send a message of hope to the down- trodden and he now has the chance to do that through the new singles under his name.

The artiste, who is signed on to Jay Ghartey’s J.H Brothers Record label and singer, Ofie Kodjoe’s One Nation Entertainment, both of which assisted him to release the four singles last year, is hopeful of an appreciable progress on the music scene.
The So In Love single, which will premiere on YFM’s Entertainment Live with Antoine Mensah on January 25, is his fifth after releasing Safe girl, Faith, Meregyaimu and Enemy which featured Jupiter and Nigerian artiste A.J Omolaja last year.
So In Love features Jay Ghartey. It is a blend of R&B and hiphop and tells the story of a man professing his love for a lady.
Jay Ghartey brings out his quality in the chorus and A.J Nelson’s punchy rhyming rap verse combines to make the track a catchy item:
Anything I do I do for you.
And anything you need am there for you
I promised on my life it’s you only you
I’m so in love so love so in love.
Though the lyrics depict a romantic theme, A. J Nelson says there is a deeper meaning to it.
“I was expressing my love of God for his creation and nature. It is about the greatest commandment on earth which is love.”
A.J Nelson, real name Adjei Nelson, describes his music as hiphop soul. He blesses his stars for meeting Jay Ghartey whom he says has helped him mature into a good artiste.
He stated that as part of the decision to rebrand himself, he has decided to wear Kente to make him stand out among the lot.
“ I was initially addicted to all the ‘blink blink.’ I, however, thought that I needed to set myself apart and I think settling on Kente has worked for me. Kente is a highly valued item and I believe my music has a similar story,” he stated.
