Produced by ace producer Appietus, Yaa Asantewaa features hiplife legend, Obrafour who infuses his ever reliable staple of catchy hooks to make this song a definite must listen.

Inspired by real life events, the song tells the tale of a man seeking to reassure his woman of his endless affection. He loves his woman dearly and offers some semi-sweet nothings (Baby girl, your love is pure/ and you are my only cure) to soothe her.

Sariki, who is based in Ashaiman, is optimistic about the chances of his latest release becoming a hit. "I released the song a couple of months ago and I've gotten some good airplay so far, so I'm optimistic Yaa Asantewaa will be a big hit soon," he told Showbiz last Sunday.

Explaining why he now goes by the name Sariki, the musician credits the influence of Obrafour, who advised him to change his name to reflect his aspirations in the music industry.

“ Sariki means 'King' in the Hausa language. I used to be called 'Bossu' back in the days, but Obrafour advised me to change it and here I am with Sariki. This name reflects the heights I want to reach in the music industry in Ghana and globally", he said.

Sariki started singing, rapping and performing when he was a student at Tema Methodist Day Senior High School, the same high school attended by Sarkodie and Stonebwoy.
However, it was after high school that he decided to take music seriously, having realised his talent and passion for it.

Real name Hadi Mohammed, Sariki, signed on to Oyege Nation record label credits the music industry for teaching him some valuable life lessons. "Being in the industry has opened my eyes and taught me a lot. I've learnt to be humble and respectful to people, and I'm still learning."
