Sammy says ‘Ebi Nnsi Biom’

Different themes about life influence the composition of songs by musicians but for up and coming gospel singer, Sammy Young, it is his past trials and tribulations in life that has challenged him to release his debut album, Ebi Nnsi Biom.

The album which has seven songs and is already receiving ample airplay gives listeners a hint of the 11 years of difficult times Sammy Young has endured. It is a testimony of how God saved him from a hopeless situation.

Some of the songs on the album are Ma Nnda Adwene, Oguaamaa Fata and the title track Ebi Nnsi Biom.

Recorded by Roro and Ray of New Creation Studios, the multi genre album has reggae, highlife and even agbadza compositions to satisfy music lovers from diverse musical background.

In an interview with Showbiz last week, he said that he released this album to be a point of contact for people especially the youth to be steadfast in their Christian ideals.

“I’m targeting the youth because I’m also a young person. It’s common to see young people just drifting through life with no plans.  It is my prayer that any young person who listens to this album will have a change of heart to lean on God but not their own understanding since that can take them unto the path of destruction”.

Until the release of his album, Sammy Young had a taste of the gospel scene as a backing vocalist for many gospel musicians including Grace Ashy, Esther Smith and Christiana Love.

He was a member of The Sax Band which placed fourth on TV3’s Bands Alive reality show competition in 2008.
