Samini and friends thrill at ‘Adults Live’ concert

The Adults Live concert which was rained off during the Christmas holidays, eventually came off at the +233 Jazz Bar & Grill in Accra last week.

Featuring Samini, Kaakie and Kwabena Kwabena, all backed by Dan Grahl’s Shabo Crew,  the event turned out to be worth the wait  as the suggestive concert name and the artistes  delivered a night of  excitement  with +233 bursting at the seams. 

The Shabo Crew,  who were highly impressive  on the night, set the ball rolling bringing back nostalgic memories with mellow tempo retro hits. Kwabena Kwabena then commenced the main show and lasted for about an hour. Patrons loved his session.

When it came to Samini’s turn, he brought on a performance  that showcased him as  a complete entertainer beyond his vocal prowess. He did some  freestyle stuff as well as a large dose of substantive tracks that really livened up the venue.

Kaakie’s  confident and sassy dance moves and well-rendered vocals only left the audience wanting more of her. She threw in a  performance of her current hit with Samini, Yooyi.

The show’s organisers said later that  they have received very positive feedback from various sections of the public and hope to make the next Adults Live gig bigger.
