Piesie hopes to make waves with Mib3ti

The Highlife scene in Ghana has seen the rise of new singers like Kwabena kwabena, Bisa K.dei, Kesse, Akwaboah, and Nero X  just to name a few. They have been inspirations to upcoming singers who believe they can match up to them and one of such is new act Piesie.

After releasing singles such as My Own, 20 Years featuring Luther, Party Anthem and Right There, Piesie is out with yet another single Mib3ti.

Mib3ti which features Fante rappers Donzy, Kofi Kinaata and produced by Streetbeatz is a mid-tempo highlife song with a very catchy melody and easy to sing chorus with the raps by both artistes fitting into it perfectly to tell a story.

The message behind the song entreats everyone to lend a helping hand to the needy.

Throwing more light on Mib3ti, Piesie told Showbiz that, “producer Streetbeatz was busily creating a very interesting instrumental so I sat in a corner and started writing a concept I had in mind. After a few ideas being shared here and there, I recorded the song”.

With musical inspirations such as Kojo Antwi, Mugeez, PSquare and Sarkodie, Piesie revealed, “I picked up my style from my inspirations and since they do not make the same genre of music, it has made me very versatile but my prime focus right now is on making good melodious Highlife and Afro beats music.

According to Piesie, together with his management, they have plans of releasing more singles and videos next year to appeal to music lovers. “This believe will increase my fan base and be hopefully nominated in the New Artiste category at the Ghana Music Awards.
