More jazz at +233

Jazz fans in Accra will be in for a special treat when accomplished French  trumpeter and flugelhorn player, Nicholas Genest, plays tonight, November 16 at the +233 Jazz Bar and Grill in Accra.

Genest is an experienced musician who  has played with prominent names such as   Manu Dibango, Jimmy Cliff, Femi Kuti, John Clayton and Hadouk trio.

 Comfortable in both jazz and classical settings, Genest has played on a few occasions in Accra and some music fans can remember his dexterity on the trumpet and flugelhorn.

He will be backed at +233 by Frank Kissi on drums and top-flight Beninois bassist, Manu Fela.

 Also playing on the night is pianist Victor Dey’s Sound Factree,  a collection of some of the best instrumentalists around.  Others in the Sound Factree are  Philip Acquah (bass), Danny Black  (drums) and Eli Amewode (trombone).
