Kofi Karikari asks 'Who Say God No Dey'

The name Kofi Karikari is one that may not be that popular in mainstream Gospel music but ardent followers of the worshipper can attest to his gift.

With songs such as Halleluyah, Meda W’ase, M3bor Yesu Din among others, the producer/singer has warmed his way into the hearts of urban Gospel music lovers.

And it appears he is ready to make a statement and get more attention for his music with his newest material titled Who Say God No Dey.

A song he produced himself, the Afro pop tune, delivered in a fast tempo vein, was released this month and encourages people not to give up but trust God for the way out of their darkest moments.

The danceable nature of Who Say God No Dey, coupled with the use of pidgin language is one that is likely to attract young people and it wasn’t surprising that prior  to its release, the #Who Say God No Dey was trending on social media.

Remarkably, the song has gotten more attention after his colleague Joe Mettle and his wife danced to it at their traditional marriage ceremony.

While many who have keenly followed the works of Minister Kofi Karikari know his newest material is a switch from his usual style, he told Graphic Showbiz that he was excited about exploring other styles.

“Versatility should be the characteristic of any good singer to enable you attract diverse listeners, which was my motivation for this song and already the reviews have been great.

“But it is interesting how people are surprised to know Who Say God No Dey is coming from me. Well, it is important to move with the changing times in a godly way and that is what I did,” he stated.

Kofi Karikari is gearing up for the release of his debut album but in May he released Spontaneous Project, a collection of songs, to give his fans and music lovers in general an idea of the what to expect on the album.
