Nothing good they say comes easy. For nine years, sound engineer, Willis Beatz, has been perfecting his act and currently, he is one of the most sought after beat makers in the game.

Willis Beatz who has been churning out good beats is behind popular songs such as Taking Over by Shatta Wale, Sponsor by Ebony, Last Show by Kofi Kinaata, Papabi by Galaxy, Osey by Nero X and Samba by Guru.
In a chat with Showbiz on Tuesday, Willis Beatz, real name, William Osafo, said it is time to shine because he stands tall among his peers.
He said although he admires colleague young sound engineers like DJ Breezy, B2, Kill Beatz and Master Garzy, no one comes close to him when it comes to creating beats at the moment.
“Everyone has his or her moment and I believe people are talking about me now because it is my time. You cannot reign forever so once you get the opportunity, use it to your advantage and that is what I am doing currently.
“ It took me almost nine years to get here and if today what I am is doing well, it is just right that people rally behind me because I am here to stay.
“After studying the Ghanaian market and knowing just what it needs, I will keep doing great beats and remain relevant for a very long time”, the Takoradi-based sound engineer added.
He revealed that although he has been behind some popular songs, Shatta Wale’s Taking Over gave him his shine.
According to him, he started getting a lot of calls after Taking Over gained attention and has since been busy working on beats for loads of artistes.
Willis Beatz who is currently working with musicians such as Guru, Flowkingstone, Kaakie and D-Black charges a flat rate of about Gh¢2,000.00 to create a very good beat which takes a day or two to complete.
