The Nima-based rapper, who describes himself as the only Hausa rapper currently in the country, believes he has what it takes to succeed as a musician and is out with his latest song Muntashi featuring Episode.

In an interview with Showbiz, Gabriba who has worked with musicians like Stonbwoy, Tee Phlow and Edem, said he is unique because he is the only rapper currently using Hausa.

“It used to be Friction, former leader of VIP and MOB who were rapping in Hausa  but they are not active in the system anymore which makes me the only Hausa rapper at the moment. My Nima fans already love what I am doing because I am promoting our language.

"My message is simple, I represent the ghetto. I am the future of African Hiphop music and with the Hausa language, I know very soon the world will embrace my music", he added.

Muntashi which translates ‘we have risen’ sees Gariba rapping about  succeeding despite all the obstacles he believes he will be encountering.

The song also talks about the Hausa language breaking through the music scene and Gariba raps about  how he intends  to take Hausa  music outside the shores of Ghana.  And praises himself for being the only Hausa rapper in Ghana.

Sound engineer Kemenyah did a great job on the song giving Gariba, a former student of SDA Secondary School, Koforidua, the opportunity to deliver his rap.
