‘Emergency’ is Eazzy’s latest

She may not have been in hot demand last year but rapper, Eazzy, whose debut song, Wengeze, shot her to fame about four years ago says she is ready to get back into the game.

First Lady, as Eazzy is usually referred to, says her new single titled Emergency and which features dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy, would pull the trick.

Perhaps attracted  by the dancehall air currently blowing in the music industry, Eazzy  hints of her interest in dancehall music on Emergency.

Venturing into an area that is definitely not her comfort zone, Eazzy raps about how her presence has become a sort of emegency centre that pulls in her male admirers.

Her effort to rap in patois gives her away as one not quite familiar with the field but Stonebwoy’s fluency in the patois saves the situation.

She told Showbiz over the weekend that her quest to do a dancehall song wasn’t because it was in vogue but rather to reveal her versatility as an artiste.

“My fans have known me for a particular style of music so I wanted to bring out a different side of me  and Emergency is the product,” she stated.

She said as an artiste who has grown over the years and still learning, she has come to appreciate  how essential music videos have become to an artiste’s success. That’s what, she says, has inspired her to  invest a lot in her video productions.

She acknowledges that the competition on the music scene is getting keener but refuted the assertion that her popularity is waning.

“I am not perturbed because every artiste has the style which distinguishes them from others. We all have what makes us stand out. It is not about what somebody is doing but what you can do best and Eazzy has her own style.”

She urged her fans to watch out for the video of Back to the Bone which is scheduled for release this month.
