Aquia sings Me To Ndwom
Many people have stories, some inspiring, intriguing and others insightful. But Aquia’s story is a combination of all resulting in a song titled, Me To Ndwom.

Me to Ndwom is a song full of praises to God for the good things He has done in the life of Aquia real name Doris Akua Temeng-Holmes.
“God has been faithful to me I must say and I just want to thank Him for his goodness and mercy,” she said in an interview with Showbiz.
“Me to Ndwom is an inspirational and thanksgiving song that I believe will touch the hearts and souls of the people who will listen,” she said.
“I did “Me To Ndwom” after some very difficult situations I found myself in sometime ago. On a number of ocassions, I stared death in the face but God saved me.
“He had a purpose for keeping me alive and that is to touch lives through music and my personality”, she added.
According to Aquia, she has been doing music all her life.“I have been doing music all my life but I wrote my first album some 25 years ago, unfortunately, I did not publish it because I was not doing music professionally at the time.
“Six years later, I wrote a hiplife/highlife album, which I did not publish either. But my quest for singing never left me. In 2017, I knew it was time to produce Me To Ndwom, my first ever song produced as a professional musician. Therefore I came to Ghana to work with the maestro Zapp Mallet on Me To Ndwom,” she said.
From very humble beginnings, Aquia an IT expert grew up in Kukurantumi in the Eastern Region where she had her basic and secondary education. She later left for the USA after living in Dansoman, Accra for a few years.
On what she thinks about Ghana’s gospel industry and how she intends to break through, Aquia who already has two albums which are available for download on Tunecore said, “Gospel music is meant to redeem, inspire and deliver us from whatever situation we might find ourselves. So far, I think the others are doing well but as it is, we cannot stop until we have won enough souls for Christ. My break through depends on God who makes all things beautiful”, she added.
