They are new on the hiplife scene but  Dennis ‘Rattyy’ Brown and Hlordzi Prince ‘Itchi’ Kelvin   who collectively go by the name Alpha, believe they have something to offer music lovers.

The young men have finished recording their first single, Me Pe Wo Saa featuring Praye.  Recorded by sound engineer Appietus, the song  talks about a girl who is loved despite her shortcomings.

The song will be out on the market  from today, November 18. Alpha believes the future is bright for them with the release of their first single.

“Not too many up-and-coming artistes are able to feature established musicians on their songs but we have been able to do that. We are in the studio getting more seasoned musicians to feature on the album we intend releasing by the end of the year,” the young men said.

Though they  see themselves basically as hiplife artistes, they decided to give a highlife treatment to Me Pe Wo Saa to prove their  versatility.

About  the duo’s name, they said: “Alpha means beginning and we are the  new dawn for Ghanaian music as we bring nothing but well-crafted stuff to all music lovers.  We cut across all genres.”
