Ghanaian spiritual heavyweights who will mount the IMPACT podium include: Reverend Eastwood Anaba, the Founder of Fountain Gate Chapel; Prophet Victor Kusi Boateng, Senior Pastor of Power Chapel Worldwide, and Rev. Robert Ampiah-Kwofie, General Overseer of the Global Revival Ministries.

Archbishop Duncan-Williams urged Ghanaians not to give up, no matter what they were going through or had been going through, as God was King over every storm.

“You will not be defeated. No attempt of the enemy to rob you of the life God has designed and decreed for you will succeed. So build yourself up and continue to walk in expectancy of gaining new strength and seeing God move on your behalf in a new way,” he told the Daily Graphic.

The expectations

The Archbishop said the theme of this year’s event was a prophetic proclamation over the life of every believer.

Making reference to Isaiah 40:29-31, he said the eagle was a powerful picture of renewed strength.

“As it goes through a season where even its beak and talons are lost along with its feathers, it is defenceless and can’t even feed itself. It has to rely on the other eagles to feed it, but then the day comes when it sprouts new wings and mounts up to fly, more powerful than before.

“This is God’s promise to His people that even though they experience setbacks, disappointments and failures, God can turn their tests into a testimony and make them stronger than before,” he stated.

On what patrons of the programme should expect, he said each year, IMPACT went to another level.

“They should expect their lives to be transformed; more empowered to meet the demands of their lives. They should expect to have an encounter with God that leaves them better than they were before.

“After all, we are supposed to be growing from glory to glory to glory.  Those who come to IMPACT this year will not be satisfied to maintain a shallow level of Christianity,” he said.

A different IMPACT in 2015

This year, there have been some additions to the annual event. There will be a Power Lunch for business and government leaders with an award-winning American author, executive leadership coach and motivational speaker,  Tim Storey.

Women summit today

For the first time, the organisers added Women’s Summit—Women Arise—to the programme lineup.

The life-transforming summit today is open to people from all walks of life, irrespective of their faith. It will be graced by Mrs Folorunso Alakija, Founder and President of the Rose of Sharon Foundation in Nigeria.

In 2012, Africa stood up on the global stage as Forbes announced that Mrs Alakija had overtaken Oprah Winfrey as the richest Black woman in the world.
