uniCredit deploys IT infrastructure

Savings and Loans Company, uniCredit has rolled out Information Technololgy (IT) infrastructure that will enable its customers to access instant notifications on their transactions.

The facility will  make it possible for customers of the company to access their bank statements through email, have instant SMS alert and do financial transactions at any of the bank’s branches countrywide.

The  infrastructure, which is normally the toast of conventional banks, is the first by a savings and loans company in the country.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of uniCredit,  Mr Samuel Sakyi-Hyde, is upbeat that the move will help deliver unparalleled service to its customers.

Mr Sakyi-Hyde said the upgrade was the first of many innovations that would be implemented to ensure that uniCredit provided the best to its clientele this year.

He mentioned that current account holders could now clear their cheques at uniCredit within a day, offering customers greater convenience in transacting business with the organisation.

Mr Sakyi-Hyde also indicated that uniCredit  had introduced a special loan product for all workers on the government payroll to grant them easy access to credit at affordable interest rates.

He further hinted that the organisation’s expansion programme had taken off in earnest and uniCredit was expected to achieve the 20-branch mark by the last quarter of this year.

“We have delivered on our promise of being the ‘caring partner’ of our customers in Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi. We want to extend the uniCredit experience of value-added products and services, as well as business advisory to more locations; and we hope this will improve the living conditions of our people and affect the general economy at large”, Mr Sakyi-Hyde noted.
