The product, which was put together in partnership with Medical Credit Fund (MCF) and Philips, seeks to overcome health financing challenges the SME health sector faced in Ghana.

The Executive Director of uniBank, Mr Ekow Dennis, who announced this at a ceremony in Accra, said the product would help hospitals, clinics, maternity homes, and diagnostic centres to procure state-of-the-art equipment to deliver essential healthcare services to Ghanaians.

He also pointed out that the bank would be supporting clients with value-added services through the internationally recognised SafeCare quality improvement programme and also finance NHIS approved monthly vetted claims.

The Chief Executive Officer of Unibank, Mr Felix Nyarko-Pong, stated that uniBank was living its core values, especially in the area of caregiving.

He said aside the provision of quality financial and banking products and services to the bank's cherished customers, uniBank had also been very active in its corporate social responsibility activities, citing the recent refurbishment of the second floor of the Korle Bu Maternity Ward.
