Two Graphic Business journalists nominated for awards

Two journalists with the Graphic Business newspaper have been nominated for awards at the maiden Institute of Financial and Economic Journalists (IFEJ)- Flamingo Awards for Business and Financial Journalists.

The two, Mr Charles Benoni Okine and Mr Samuel Doe Ablordeppey, are among a total of five journalists nominated for the awards, which is targeted at business and financial reporters in the country.

The other three are Felix Dela Klutse of Business Day, Fred Sarpong of Daily Express and Edward Nyarko of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC).

The IFEJ-Flamingo Awards for Business and Financial Journalists, slated for December 12, 2014, is an initiative of the institution, which is a grouping of business and financial journalists in the country. 

It is aimed at rewarding and recognising excellence while serving as a benchmark for practitioners in the field.

It is being supported by the World Bank, the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) and other corporate institutions committed to the development and improvement of business and financial journalism in the country.
