Sanlam introduces education, income insurance policies
INSURANCE firm Sanlam Insurance has introduced two new insurance policies into the Ghanaian market. The two products are expected to augment the earlier family love plan launched last year.
The Sanlam Income Protection product and Sanlam Education product are geared towards protecting the welfare of the family and children’s education.

The two insurance products also aim to provide the financial security and financial future of families.
At the launch last Friday at the Allied Heights in Accra, the CEO of Sanlam Insurance, Mr Tawiah Ben Ahmed, noted that the two products were the outcome of extensive and thorough research after the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Sanlam Income Protection will protect your income so your salary does not die with you while Sanlam Education will help protect the education of your children,” he stated.
Amount of investment
Mr Ben Ahmed revealed that for a minimum amount of GH¢140 each month one can easily sign on the two products, get one’s income and child’s education fully covered.
“These packages are solutions to enable you live with confidence, protect education of your children and taking steps to protect your income in the event of any physical impairment,” he stated.
Executive Head of Retail business at Sanlam Insurance, Jonathan Sam, said the company has paid GH¢15 million in claims and committed to honour all its financial obligations to clients.

Good returns
The Chief Operations Officer of the firm, Mr Emmanuel Oteng Tuffour, called on Ghanaians to patronise the products, stressing that the products provide 10 percent of a contributor’s investments to the contributor every three years.
“We are financially strong and viable and shall always be at our customers’ service,” he stated.
