Prudential Bank partners Xpress Money

As part of measures targeted at helping Ghanaians in the Mediterranean region and Saudi Arabia, Prudential Bank has partnered Xpress Money Transfer to help Ghanaians remit money to relatives and friends back home.

Speaking at the launch in Accra, the Deputy Managing Director of Prudential Bank, Mrs Mary Brown, stated that the service was dedicated to Ghanaians living and working in the Mediterranean region and Saudi Arabia. 

“One of the great traits of Ghanaians is whenever they go out to work abroad they remit funds home. You know that now, there are many Ghanaians working in the Mediterranean region, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Qatar.  This is an opportunity for them to send money back home to their relatives and friends,” she said. 

She stated that the service would help the increasing number of people travelling to the region for jobs to remit enough funds back home for projects they wanted to embark on. 

Mrs Brown reiterated the bank’s commitment to continue expanding its banking distribution channels to provide more ways for customers to transact business.

To this end, it said it had added on a mobile banking platform, mobiWise, which would include local money transfer services, mobile money, third-party payment and cardless transactions in a bid to improve financial inclusion for small and medium-size enterprises.

The Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs, Prudential Bank, Mrs Akosua A. Boahen, said the addition of the XM brought to total four money transfer services available at 36 branches of the bank. 

In her remarks, the Relationship Manager, ECOWAS XM, Ms Gifty Ofori, lauded the partnership between the two companies and said XM had the track record of delivering on its promise of offering the best to the consumer.
