PHD Worldwide has launched its 25th anniversary celebrations with a series of activities to run throughout 2015, marking 25 years since the agency launched its first office in London.

The media and communications agency started as David Pattison, Nick Horswell and Jonathan Durden (PHD) with a staff of four as the first planning-led agency in the world.

PHD has invited those who have worked for and with it, past and present, to leave a message on the microsite phdat25.com.  It also has a commemorative online ’25 Yearbook’ that features videos of highlights from 25 people who have shaped its history – from the original founders and PHD’s very first employees, through to clients and the leadership of today.

“We want to celebrate this milestone by taking a look at the thing that has driven our success and built our unique culture: our talent.  The people who founded PHD back in 1990 and work here today bring a passion and energy to our industry, embodying our philosophy of Finding A Better Way,” Mr Avril Canavan, PHD’s Worldwide Marketing and Communications Director, said in a statement.

From a radical challenger proposition that started in 1990’s, PHD’s unique positioning as a leader in creative communications planning has evolved globally and today it has over 3,000 employees in over 80 countries and work with some of the world’s largest advertisers.

“PHD Ghana is proud of its network’s heritage as the pioneers and champions of creative communications over the past quarter of a century and will continue in this path of proven excellence by tapping into the collective talent pool from our network of offices around the globe to drive our local market and raise the next generation of media thought leaders in Ghana and across West Africa” the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of PHD Ghana, Mr Bright Ladzekpo, said.
