The firm, ZoubiTrust Limited, is a co-operation between BBZoubi Company, a construction conglomerate from Israel, and a local company, Steel Trust Company.

The company seeks to introduce new ways of building to make construction work easier and faster in the country.

Speaking at the inauguration event, the Managing Director of ZoubiTrust Limited, Mr Abdoulaziz Issaka, said the company would be engaging in real estate development, agriculture and trading, among other activities, as it seeks to create more jobs for the populace.

According to Mr Issaka, the agriculture sector in Ghana dominates the economy, accounting for about 40 per cent of the Gross Domestic Product and 55 per cent of the country’s workforce, hence the need to improve the sector.

Mr Issaka said modern agriculture would be introduced, together with processing, to expand the market. The company would also produce feeds for both the poultry and fishing industries.

“Our goal is to improve the lives of the communities in which we do businesses, for our success will depend on the success of these communities,” he added.

With its experience in construction, Mr Issaka said the company would take cognisance of the government’s goals to improve infrastructure, including improved roads, access to clean water and energy.
