New casino inaugurated in Accra

With a ticket which costs as low as GH¢5 slotted in any of the gaming machines, players at the casino can win as much as GH¢1,000, depending on the scores  attained.

The casino,  which has a 12-member staff, is not open to people under 18 years.

The Administrative Manager of Novogaming Ghana, Ms Jennifer Attah, said the company had the intention of opening more branches in the country in the next four years.

She said most of the casinos in the country had been established for the rich and famous but the company had decided to move away from that and have “gaming” on the doorstep of the ordinary people.

Ms Attah said Ghana was the second country after South Africa in which Novogaming had invested and said the country’s political stability, peace and tranquillity attracted foreign investors.

The Legal Consultant of Novogaming Ghana, Mr Steve Antwi, encouraged Ghanaians to patronise the services of the company, saying it offered entertainment at a minimal cost.

An official of the Gaming Commission, Mr Dennis Adzi, said the company had been duly issued with a licence to operate in Ghana.
