Jorbies Limited to shift focus this year
He said in 2013 and the coming years, their budget for corporate social responsibility would also double and added that they planned to give back to society and improve the lives of people and businesses in their operational areas.
Mr Larbie said from a humble beginning of one branch at Kaneshie in August 2008, the company had gown with over 16 branches spread across the country.
“Jorbies limited can now be found at Kaneshie, Tema (Community Two) and Ablekuma in the Greater Accra Region; Suhum, Asamankese, Kade, New Abirem, New Tafo and Asuom in the Eastern Region; Juaso/Obogu, Kumasi (kejetia) and Adonfe in the Ashanti Region; Sunyani and Nkoranza in the Brong Ahafo and Swedru in the Central Region.”
He indicated their products included financial services and real estate development.
Mr Larbie said under their financial services, they undertook investment and fund management and added that the company gave as high as double of interests on Treasury bill.
“The funds can also be used by members of the organisation to access loans at very low interest rates. We also give loans to corporate staff and entrepreneurs to meet their short-term financial needs.”
He said the company offered hardworking Ghanaians the ease of owning a two or three bedroom house, adding that “we encourage prospective owners to contribute a minimum of US$250.00 a month.”
Mr Larbie said the size of their customers had grown exponentially over the years and said from 50 customers in August 2008, Jorbies could now boast of over 50,000 customers nationwide.
“Our customers are made up of 35 per cent small business owners, 40 per cent medium scale entrepreneurs and 15 per cent large business owners.”
