Graphic Business journalist wins award

A Staff Writer with the Graphic Business, the financial newspaper in the stable of the Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL), Mrs Ama Achiaa Amankwah Baafi, has emerged as the Agricultural Journalist of the Year at the fourth Ghana Agribusiness Excellence and Leadership Awards, organised by the Chamber of Agribusiness, Ghana, (CAG) in Accra.

The annual award is designed to create a platform to recognise outstanding individuals and organisations, raise awareness and promote discussions about the critical role of sustainable agriculture in Ghana.

Held on the theme, “Sustainable Agriculture: A Catalyst for Agro-Industrial Development Food Security and Job Creation,” the Agribusiness Excellence and Leadership Awards also aims to publicly recognise efforts and contribution of distinguished and deserving agribusinesses and to bring together governments, researchers, development and private sector institutions to raise awareness and elevate discussions about the critical role of sustainable agriculture in Ghana.

Mrs Baafi has carved a niche for herself by researching and writing on the agricultural sector for the Graphic Business since she joined the team many years ago.

The awards held under the theme, “Sustainable Agribusiness: A Catalyst for Industrial Development, Food Security and Job Creation,” saw 43 illustrious agribusiness sector players awarded for their immense contribution.
