Addressing the media in Accra, he said the management of the company chose Ghana because it believed in the Ghanaian market as a result of the country’s political stability and peace.

“We believe in the rule of law. This is very important,” he said.

He noted that the company produced insecticides which dealt with the vector control of insects including mosquitoes, the causative agents of malaria, which could have a toll on the country’s work force, if not dealt with properly.

According to Mr Pons, the country could not grow with people dying of cholera and malaria, and that Inesfly was ready to train Ghanaians in good hygieneic practices and also engage in activities that fought against insects which brought diseases.

Crop diseases

“We have solutions to the diseases that affect crops in the area of agriculture,” and “this is by addressing the issue of insects invasion of crops such as cocoa.”

“Ghana is having problems with insects on cocoa farms. We are here to give solutions against all these problems. We also teach people on how to deal with these problems,” he said, adding that “we are here to help Ghana.”

The company, Mr Pons said, had production capacity to supply Africa with insecticides to deal with the invasion of insects, and that in the coming days, it would come out with three or four more products for agriculture and public health, hospitality and educational institutions.
