24th Ghana International Trade Fair to open in Tamale on Feb 27

The Ghana Trade Fair Company Limited (GTFC) as part of its statutory obligations is collaborating with the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MOTI) and the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA) to launch the 24th Ghana International Trade Fair at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale.

The fair will be held for 11 days from February 27 to March 8, 2020.

It will be anchored on the theme “Value Addition, Trading Globally”.

The fair has been structured to advance efforts in ameliorating the Value Addition Policy initiated by the government

The 24th Ghana International Trade Fair is expected to bring together investors, buyers and stakeholders to maintain the agenda of patronising made in Ghana products.

About 600 businesses from Ghana and several other countries notably Turkey, Spain, Italy, India, Syria, Pakistan, South Africa, Egypt and other neighbouring countries are expected to be engaged in business-related activities.

Furthermore, the fair is to widen investment opportunities, particularly in northern Ghana.

Activities lined up for the 24th International Trade Fair will include but not limited to seminars, durbars and exhibitions.

There will be collaborative inputs from all interested groups and organizations to offer services before during and after the fair.

Such groups include MOTI, MOFA, Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Association of Ghana Industries, Council for Scientific and Industrial Research and the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce.

The rest are National Board for Small Scale Industries, Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, Ghana Export Promotion Centre, Ghana Free Zones Board, Registrar Generals’ Department, Skills Development Fund, GRATIS Foundation and some Banking Institutions.

Participation

The Head of Exhibition and Marketing Manager, Mr Oscar Asamoah Baffour entreated organisations to maximize the opportunity of expanding their frontiers by being part of the fair.

According to him, their participation will enhance strategic cooperation and strengthen business linkage while increasing trade, services, innovation and exchange of ideas for socio-economic growth.

“I urge all businesses out there to come and register and partake of the fair as the event promises to put their brands name in a higher pedestal within the business community”, he said in a press interview.
