Fidelity Bank rewards more customers in promo

Three customers of Fidelity Bank have each earned a zero to their balances in the latest draw of the Fidelity Big Fat Zero promotion held at its Tamale branch last week.

The three winners, Albert Atta Coleman of the Adum Post branch, Victor Amenyo of the Hohoe branch and Hope Ahiadu of the Trade Fair branch each had a zero added to their maintained balances, thus taking home GH¢10,000, GH¢9,030 and GH¢10,000 respectively.

Ten other customers won a 24-carat gold coin each, valued at GH¢1,300 per coin.

The Head of Customer Care at Fidelity Bank, Mrs Sharon Oko-Matey, said at the draw that the bank would continue to roll out innovative promotions to enrich its customers by giving them purchasing power to enable them to pursue their dreams and aspirations.

“Contrary to the widely held view that zero has no value, at Fidelity Bank we believe a zero can make a huge difference. This is why the bank introduced the innovative Fidelity Big Fat Zero Promotion to impact lives while inculcating in Ghanaians the culture of savings,” she said.

The Head of Consumer Banking at Fidelity Bank, Mrs Selom Cofie Atta, encouraged customers and prospective clients to deposit more, saying “the grand draw is in April and the stakes are higher in that draw.”

The grand draw would add two zeros to a lucky customer and dole out more gold coins. This means that a GH¢300 balance can become GH¢30,000; GH¢1,000 could become GH¢100,000 and so on.

She used the opportunity to explain the bank’s new banking model known as Agency Banking and the Smart Account, which she said enabled the unbanked and underbanked to open and operate a bank account with minimal Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements in less than five minutes, with as little as GH¢10.

The Municipal Chief Executive of Tamale, Mr Hanan Gundadoo, expressed the assembly’s happiness with the bank for extending its services to Tamale, thereby creating jobs for the youth and urged the traditional rulers to support businesses such as Fidelity Bank to thrive in the region so that they in turn would serve as ambassadors in addition to job creation.
