Pragmatic measures have been put in place to enable DKM Group of Companies to strengthen its capital-based projects nationwide.
The idea, which has already been formalised, is expected to commence next month. Due to some justifiable reasons, the task will concentrate on health and other social-related areas worth sustaining.
The initiative will include an ultra-modern hospital facility, a zinc manufacturing company and a petroleum establishment, the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Delle K. Martin, has hinted.
The ultra-modern hospital facility will be built in Sunyani whereas the zinc manufacturing company and the petroleum complex will also be put up in Wa.
In all, $3million has been earmarked for the three multifaceted projects. Mr Martin has made it known that the projects would be financed through the profits accrued from the operations of DKM Group of Companies in 2014.
A 10-acre land has already been acquired in Sunyani for the construction of the hospital facility and same has been done for the zinc and petroleum establishment in Wa.
These and more were contained in a statement issued and signed by the Head of Communications, Mr Ransford Agyemang, and made available to the Daily Graphic.
According to the statement, the capital-based projects that would impact positively on the citizenry was the core mandate of DKM Group of Companies. It further said the completion of the three projects would also offer employment opportunities to the youth nationwide.
Mr Martin announced that DKM would never relent in its efforts to honour its corporate social responsibility (CSR).
“Our operational existence is due to public support, most especially from our loyal customers. Therefore it is very necessary to give back to society,” the statement said.
Last year alone, DKM spent GH¢350, 000.00 on CSR; the security services, schools and other social establishments were some of the major beneficiaries and notable among these were the reactivation of the defunct Officers’ Mess, tennis court and swimming pool at the Sunyani Liberation Barracks.
