Broll Ghana Limited, which offers the full spectrum of property-related services, has won two awards at the seventh Ghana Property Awards. The event is held annually to recognise leaders in the property industry.
The awards, Valuation Firm of the Year and Brokerage Firm of the Year, were announced at the 2014 Ghana Property Awards held on the theme: "Sustaining Infrastructure Funding Through Private-Public Equity Partnership in Meeting Ghana's Service Demand", in Accra recently.
The event was organised by Property Express Group Ltd, in collaboration with the Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA), the Ministry of Water Resources, Works and Housing and other stakeholders.
The awards were set up to encourage competition and competitive pricing in the property and construction industry.
Winners have been from diverse firms within the property and construction sector, including mortgage firms, paint firms, residential developers, commercial developers, property brokers/estate agents, input suppliers, retail development, facility managers, architectural firms, landscapers, among other service providers.
The Director of Ghana Property Awards, Ms Irene Agyenkwa, said a careful study of this year's awards categories revealed extra emphasis on retail-related developments and services, Developer of the Year, Commercial Retail Brokerage Company of the Year and Valuation Firm of the Year.
“This is to acknowledge and encourage the growing trend of retail development in recent times — the Marina Mall, the West Hills Mall, the Achimota Mall, the Junction Mall, the Meridian City Mall and The Exchange — and the needs these developments are going to cater for as the middle class grows and tastes become more refined,” she noted.
Just reward for investment
The Chief Executive Officer of Broll Ghana, Mr Kofi Ampong, said the recognition was a just reward for the company’s investment in service provision and focus on maximising property potential for clients.
"We customise our services and resources around our clients’ needs to guarantee their high value creation and thrive on innovation, originality and effective risk management.
"Our vision is to be the leading property services provider and pacesetter in the Ghanaian property services industry.
"In line with this vision, we have been engaged to provide retail brokering services for the Achimota and the Kumasi malls being developed by Delico Investment," he said.
