Albert Nii Ayi Tagoe wins Authorship and Creative Writing Category at 2024 Forty Under 40 Awards
The Head of Finance and Investment at the Ghana Commodity Exchange, Albert Nii Ayi Tagoe, was honoured with the award for Authorship and Creative Writing at the prestigious 2024 Forty Under 40 Awards.
Held on September 7, 2024, at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel, the awards event celebrated Ghana’s rising young professionals and leaders across multiple industries.

Mr. Tagoe, author of the well-regarded books How to Raise Capital for Your Start-up Business and Money Health, was recognised for his contributions to financial literacy and entrepreneurial guidance, using his books to support individuals across Ghana in business and personal finance.
Xodus Communications, the organisers of the awards, recognised Mr Tagoe’s extensive impact, commending his innovative approach to financial writing. The event aims to identify and celebrate young leaders under 40 who have achieved remarkable professional excellence, demonstrated community impact, and contributed to the growth of their sectors.
“This award is a testament to Albert’s ability to creatively leverage his decade-long experience in financial management to produce works that impact this generation,” the organisers stated.
Mr Tagoe’s books are tailored to help readers navigate the challenges of raising capital and achieving financial wellness. His first book, How to Raise Capital for Your Start-up Business, uses the acronym “CAPITAL” as a framework for aspiring entrepreneurs to recall key strategies in securing funds. His second book, Money Health, guides readers on financial well-being, using the phrase “AM I WELL?” to structure chapters that address budgeting, saving, investing, and retirement planning.
Speaking on his motivations, Mr Tagoe explained that he holds the passion to inspire, serve and impact this generation with his experience through authorship and creative writing. He inspired the youth to start writing books at a very young age, especially in areas that are useful for the development of the country.
He thanked the organisers for this special recognition and will forever hold this prestigious award dear to his heart.

Beyond his authorship, Mr Tagoe has engaged in several philanthropic initiatives, including donating books to students and participating in educational forums. His recent donations include over 200 copies of his books to the School of Graduate Studies at the University of Education, Winneba. He has also volunteered as a lecturer on the Joy FM Masterclass and served as a judge for the National Graphic Tertiary Business Challenge, where he donated books to finalists.
Mr Tagoe also holds an MBA in Finance from Coventry University and a First-Class Honours degree from Valley View University. At the Ghana Commodity Exchange, he has played a vital role in supporting smallholder farmers in Ghana through financing initiatives, helping drive growth in the agricultural sector.
In receiving the award, Mr Tagoe expressed gratitude to the organisers and encouraged the youth to consider authorship: “I hold a passion to inspire, serve, and impact this generation with my experience through authorship and creative writing. I hope more young people start writing, especially on topics that can foster development in our dear country.”
With accolades such as the “Most Influential CFO in Ghana 2023” and “Top 30 Public Sector Finance Leaders in Ghana 2022,” Mr Tagoe has firmly established himself as a leader in finance and an influential figure in Ghana’s literary landscape.
