Did you know that only about 2% of all articles written on the English Wikipedia is about Africa? Even with this small percentage, majority of these articles are written by non Africans.

The Founders Day Writing Contest seeks to address this existing gap and to help decolonize the internet by encouraging Ghanaians to produce content online that speaks to their contexts and the right narrative.

This is a call to all Ghanaians to write articles about people, places, activities and events leading to and after independence, creative art works (movies and music) around that time, and topics of national interest to give Ghana the visibility that it deserves on this global platform.

In doing this, we are making information about Ghana accessible to all over the world.😉
